Chieh-Yu Chung, 3rd Year Bachelors, Violin
Taiwan
The story behind my photo on the Shuanglong Rainbow Bridge in Alishan, Taiwan reflects a connection between culture, nature, and global awareness. The bridge itself, with its brilliant rainbow colors, symbolizes diversity and inclusion, which fits well with the theme of Global Citizenship. This place is not just a beautiful natural site but also a part of the local indigenous culture in Taiwan, representing the deep-rooted history of the indigenous Tsou people. By visiting this place, I am engaging in cultural exchange, learning to appreciate the unique traditions and environments that are part of the global community.
Yuchan Li, 3rd Year Bachelors, Composition
China
During the summer of 2023, as a Chinese student, I traveled to the snow-capped mountains of Switzerland. It was freezing cold, and while everyone else had brought warm clothing, I had forgotten mine. Despite the chill, I braved the cold alone and witnessed one of the most breathtaking mountain views. At that moment, I silently made a wish to travel internationally and explore the world.
